Rea Gopane, who hosts the Everything SA Music podcast, has claimed that amapiano DJ and producer Mr. JazziQ sued him for R1 Million, stating the wounds are still fresh from the litigation.
The genesis of the legal battle was when Rea Gopane claimed during one of his podcast sessions that Mr. JazziQ had sacrificed his friends Mpura and Killer Kau to become more established on the music scene in South Africa.
He noted that Mr. JazziQ had flown out of South Africa a day after the two, alongside three others, perished in a car accident while heading to a gig.
Furious about the allegations, Mr. JazziQ had bid Rea Gopane take down the podcast, threatening to take legal action against him. Well, he apparently did, and Rea Gopane is still reeling from the legal battle.
Rea Gopane refuses to apologize to Mr. JazziQ, though. Instead, he apologized to the families of the musicians involved in the accident, stating he knows the wounds of their deaths are still fresh.

By the way, this isn’t the first time Rea has been sued or has had a battle with a celebrated figure. Previously, he had claimed that Bonang transferred her drug habit to AKA. Faced with legal threats, he’d apologized to her.
