South Africa’s reality show Star Nonku Williams has reportedly called off her engagement with Dumisani Ndlazi, allegedly for a reason that would make some of those who had warned her earlier laugh in her face and repeat what they had told her previously.
According to multiple reports, the two of them had worked on a tender but Dumisani scammed her, taking her share with him. He reportedly used the money to build a home in his village, “leaving her high and dry.” Thereafter, he had tried to get back with her, but she refused.
Before the whole drama between them, Dumisani had had issues with the law and had been convicted. Apparently, his criminal past didn’t bother Nonku as she went on with her relationship with him in 2022. She had introduced him to her family, but it wasn’t enough to stop him from bilking her.
The two were never South Africa’s favourite couple. From when they started dating in late 2022, South Africans had warned Nonku to be careful of him, and that the relationship would end in tears because of Ndlazi’s criminal past. Well, it appears like they were prescient, after all. For Nonku, she has certainly learned her lessons and would be moving on with her life.
