Nigerian actress Regina Daniel’s found herself on the trending list on Twitter over her colleague Yul Edochie taking a second wife.
Social media was abuzz after Yul Edochie, a son to the veteran actor Pete Edochie, announced that he’d taken a second wife who’d also given him a son. At the time of the announcement, his wife had taken to the comment section to say that God would judge him and the new wife he took, actress Judith Austin.
So how does this concern Regina Daniels? According to critics, Regina Daniels was praised for agreeing to marry the billionaire Ned Nwoko and become his sixth wife. In contrast, according to them, Yul Edochie is being condemned for taking a second wife.
The critics think this is an example of double standards. And they harped on Regina Daniels so much that Twitter algorithms picked her up, and she became a trending topic in Nigeria.
The actress wouldn’t be dragged into the whole drama, however. She’s gotten two new tattoos and is living life on her own terms.
