Alcohol brand Rémy Martin has linked up with amapiano duo Major League DJz to open the door of opportunities to other producers – especially the unknown ones who would love to perform in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
So if you fancy yourself the next best producer to come out of South Africa, or aspire to showcase your talent before a global audience, here is your chance to do just that.
Dubbed Rémy Producers and going by the hashtag #RemyProducersSA, the initiative is currently in its second season and comes following the deal Bandile and Banele Mbere (the twin brothers who go by the stage name Major League) signed with Atlantic Records,
Speaking on behalf of Rémy Martin South Africa, Jerome Adonis, Portfolio Manager at Edward Snell & Co, noted that South Africans have music as part of their DNA. And as a company, Remy Martin is aware that many talented producers out there aspire to be great but do not have the exposure. So it volunteered to fill that gap and partnered with Major League to make it happen.
The choice of the “Pianochella” maestros shouldn’t be surprising. They had struggled at the beginning of their careers before emerging among the top voices.
