Amid yawning, murmurings and grumbling from viewers of the Showmax reality show Real Housewives of Lagos, RHOLagos, Chioma Ikokwu is changing the narrative with her drama — and viewers are hooked (to her already).
When the Lagos spin-off of The Real Housewives was announced, and the name of the cast released, many potential viewers were excited And actually looked forward to it.
Halfway into the show, however, complaints started pouring in about a lack of dramatic energy on the show. One viewer even claimed to have stopped watching after the second episode.
However, some viewers have singled out Chioma Ikokwu for praise for bringing a semblance e of drama to the reality show. A trained lawyer, Chioma runs multiple businesses, including Good Hair Limited.
She loves the camera, according to her, and could spend 12 hours filming without losing her spirit. Also, she describes herself as the hardest worker out there.
She has been engaged previously but has never been married. Also, she doesn’t have any children. With these attributes, she appears to be in a world all her own, as the Real Housewives franchise revolves around married or divorced women with children.
Maybe, over time, the other cast members will bring drama to the show as well.
