Robert Marawa Clinches Deal With Arena Holdings, Returns To Radio

Sports broadcaster Robert Marawa is back on radio after months-long exit. The media personality, who was fired from his place at SABC in July, has just clinched what some industry watchers call a better deal.

The respected broadcaster has signed a partnership with Arena Holdings and will now be broadcasting his soaraway show, Marawa Sports Worldwide (MSW), live on platforms like Vuma FM, Rise FM, and the SowetanLive website.

On this platforms, the show will be streamed from Monday to Friday, between 5:30 pm and 7pm.

About the new deal, according to Robert Marawa, he’s excited and nervous at the same time as his approach will be different and the deal itself is a union of different entities.

That notwithstanding, he noted that he’s looking forward to providing his fans with both local and global quality content, beginning Monday.

With this partnership, some fans have expressed curiosity about a project he was allegedly part of before the Arena deal.

Robert Marawa had reportedly joined forces with DJ Sbu, DJ Fresh and DJ Euphonik to establish a radio station called Fired FM. It was so named because the founders were all fired from their roles as radio hosts at different stations.

Well, stay tuned for the first episode of MSW next Monday.
