After their entanglement drama of about a year ago, speculations are rife that the two are heading for a final divorce as well as spitting their collective fortune.
Actually, rumours of a divorce have been there all along after reports of Jada Pinkett’s alleged entanglement with singer August Alsina.
However, the current speculations about a divorce stem from a now-deleted story by Heat Magazine.
In the story, the magazine quotes a source to have said, verbatim: “Ever since the Oscars scandal, tensions between them have been palpable. There have been problems for years, but they’re barely speaking right now. If they were to split, Will has a fortune of $350million that Jada would be entitled to half of under Californian law.”
The article never claimed that the two have split. It merely hinted that if they should split, Jada would have a chunk of the King Richard actor’s fortune.
Also, neither Jada nor Will has given any indication they’re divorcing or preparing to get one.
Will Smith caused a stir recently after he left his seat at this year’s Oscars and marched to the stage, where he slapped comedian Chris Rock for making a G.I Jane joke about Jada. For his action, he was banned for ten years from attending all Oscars events virtually or in person.
He’d apologised for his actions but is said not to have done the same to the comedian in person.
