SA Hip Hop Artists Celebrate Jabba’s Posthumous 40th Birthday, Lerato Sengadi Throws Surprise Party…

Suicide robbed South African music off one of its notable hip hop figures in Jabulani “HHP” Tsambo. The songster would have been 40 yesterday 14 September 2020.

His absence notwithstanding, the songster’s compatriots celebrated him massively yesterday – a testament to the impact he made in his short life. While some musos already consider him a legend, others think he is one of the finest hip hop figures South Africa had produced.

From Kwesta to to and even the controversial record label Ambitiouz Entertainment, almost everyone had something positive to say about the muso who died 24 October 2018.

Ambitiouz Entertainment’s remembrance note of the champ is especially significant in that the record label credited him as the inspiration for its founding. Below are some thoughts on HHP from major figures in South African music on the occasion of his birthday yesterday.

HHP’s wife Lerato Sengadi celebrated him in an even more special way: she hosted a posthumous birthday party for him. You can check out pictures from the event, which had Focalistic, Sho Madjozi and other celebs in attendance, below.
