Cape Town rapper YoungstaCPT has been nominated in the Artiste of the Decade category at this year’s South African Hip Hop Awards (SAHHA), but he seriously doubts he belongs there.
The songster had been nominated in that category alongside Nasty C, Cassper Nyovest, AKA and K.O. Reacting to his nomination, the songster had stated in a tweet that he doesn’t deserve to be on the list because those he’d be competing with have been more successful and are still doing great.
To reinforce the narrative that he doesn’t belong in the list, he had shared that he had been nominated for a South African Music Award (SAMA) at some point but he lost against against someone whose catalogue was not as impressive. You can check out his tweet below.
While YoungstaCPT appears to be doubting himself, his fans have been encouraging him not to self himself short. Most of them insisted he has done great for the culture and deserves to be on any list out there. Also, as a result of his doubt, many social media users have begun rooting for him.
