Here’s the Sassa R350 Grant payment date for the month of January.

According to reports, the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is rolling out plans to disburse the January 2023 social grant payments from 03 January 2023. The agency has urged all clients to make use of the multiple ways available to access the disbursed funds, including the use of retailers and ATMs.

According to the South African Government website, the first grants will be disbursed to older persons on Tuesday, 03 January. It will be followed by disability grants on Wednesday, 04 January, and child support grants on Thursday, 05 January.

For clarity, the payment will happen on the following work day if the second day of the month falls on a weekend or public holiday. SASSA Gold cards used by social grant clients will remain valid anywhere that accepts bank card transactions. Beneficiaries are warned to steer clear of misleading information and scammers.

The R350 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant is a temporary social grant provided by the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) to individuals who are unemployed and have no other source of income during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The grant is intended to provide financial assistance to those who have been affected by the economic downturn caused by the pandemic. The grant is R350 per month and the payments are done via EFT or SASSA card. To qualify for the grant, individuals must be 18 years or older, unemployed, and have no other source of income.

The grant is available for a limited period of time and it’s not permanent. The SASSA has been in charge of the distribution of the grants, and the eligibility criteria may change over time.
