Shaggy Talks The Making Of “Com Fly Wid Mi” With Sting

Reggae singer Shaggy recently gave some insight into the making of his tune “Com Fly Wid MI” in collaboration with Sting, noting that it actually included a twist.

At 54, Shaggy is no youngling on the music scene, and it appears he isn’t going away anytime soon. At least, the making of his project mentioned earlier shows that he still has his creative juices flowing.

The celebrated musician was on the ground for the Grammy awards red carpet and fielded questions with reporters, sharing his thoughts on the making of his album, and the role Sting played in it.

He readily admitted that album was kind of a niche project, but it was still exciting creating it, and he enjoyed every moment of the creative process. He noted that the compilation had a touch of Frank Sinatra, and not only did he and Sting finance the project themselves, but they also put their heart and soul into it. The result was memorable.

This isn’t the first time the two have collaborated, though. They had earlier worked in “44/876,” which clinched a Grammy in the Best Reggae Album category at the 2019 Grammy awards.

Well, from the look of things, Shaggy is still Grammy-hot.
