Sicelo Buthele has just joined the cast of the SABC 1 series “Skeem Saam,” provoking waves of excitement among his fans across South Africa. Of course, the excitement is in no way surprising given how popular he has become for his acting skills.
He especially stood out for his role in “Gomora,” easily one of the longest-running and one of the most popular series in the Rainbow Nation.
IN “Skeem Saam,” the actor, who is popularly known as Seekay will be playing the character Tobias “Tobby” Maswahla, a university student with a patent sense of mischief – an endearing quality already among some viewers.
While it is unclear how he landed the role, it has been so far so good for him. Asked about the new role, he has the following to say to a local publication: “Having joined the Skeem Saam family has been amazing. It’s a different environment but it feels like home. I’m enjoying it.”
Well, if the responses by fans are anything to go by, then he isn’t the only one who is enjoying this new phase of his acting career. His fans are themselves having a good time, as exemplified by the positive words they have to share about his acting.
