Simphiwe Dana’s Mother Contracts The Coronavirus While Helping Save Lives

The mother of popular Xhosa artiste Simphiwe Dana has contracted the coronavirus while helping save lives of those affected. The artiste made the announcement herself on her social media pages.

Her mother is a retired nurse who went back to the field to help in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. According to the singer, nursing for her mother was a calling so the decision to return to the field came easily to her. Simphiwe Dana said she was worried initially.

Now her fears have all but flowered with the news that her mother, who she described as diabetic, has contracted the virus. She said her mother is recuperating at home and appears okay. She also expressed the belief her mother will pull through.
