South African singer Ntokozo Mbambo is here to celebrate her win and not “join issues” with Kelly Khumalo, who had railed against her recent SAMA win.
Ntokozo Mbambo was one of the biggest winners at the award, snagging an impressive win of three categories, provoking consternation and anger from Kelly Khumalo, who was snubbed for any category. Kelly Khumalo was adamant the process was rigged to favour Ntokzo.
Amid the claim, the likes of actress Rami Chuene and singer Thandiswa Mazwai had publicly shown support for Ntokozo, describing her as deserving of her win and having a wonderful voice. But what does Notkozo Mbambo think about Kelly Khumalo’s anger over her win?
The songstress, who won the SAMA in the Female of the Year, Best Album of the Year, and Contemporary Faith Album of the Year, could not be bothered about Kelly Khumalo’s criticisms over her win. Instead, she ascribed her win to an act of God. But for God, she believes she would not have come this far.

She has a point, perhaps, and her fans are more than happy to celebrate her for the win and let her know the impact she has in the music industry in South Africa.
