Sinky Mnisi Addresses Controversy Over Solomons Move To Kaizer Chiefs From Royal AM

Disagreements among teams in football regarding the transfer of a player or even outright sale aren’t new. But what’s playing out between Royal AM and Kaizer Chiefs has got some football pundits scratching their heads.

The controversy between the two clubs boiled down to the transfer of Dillon Solomons.

During a recent press conference, Royal AM chief executive office Sinky Mnisi claimed that Solomons is a Royal AM player and that the Kaizer Chiefs side should have signed him from the club.

Solomons, 23, was one of three players that Royal AM purchased from Swallows at the close of last season. However, Solomons reportedly never negotiated personal terms with the club. At the end of the day, two of the players had remained at Royal AM.

In contrast, Solomons signed with Kaizer Chiefs, with his management claiming that Solomons had no communication with Royal AM. GN Sports, Solomons’s representatives, argued that the transfer/ purchase must have been on a club-to-club basis, as Solomons’ management was never in negotiation with Shauwn Mkhize’s club.

Of course, the claim contrasts with what Sinky Mnisi has put out there. And that leaves open the question of who between both parties should be believed. And what should follow amid the disagreement?
