Slik Talk has fired a shot at rapper Reason, questioning his relevance and contributions to the music scene in South Africa.
Slik was speaking as the latest guest on Podcast and Chill With MacG. When asked about Reason, he described the rapper as broke, adding that he doesn’t beef with the broke.
He then took on Reason’s career, noting contemptuously that the songster hasn’t done much for the culture and is, in fact, irrelevant.
Reason was one of the hip hop figures in Mzansi, but then he’d made a switch to the amapiano genre. After Reason dropped an amapiano song, Cassper. Nyovest had stated that he was the one who opened the way for Reason and other hip hop aces to make piano music.
The claim had infuriated Reason so much that he denied, during an interview, ever knowing there is a person called Cassper, using the female pronoun “she” to describe him.
Well, with Slik questioning his contributions to the world of South African music, it looks like Reason’s battles are not over yet. It remains to be seen how he would respond to Slik Talk. You can check out the detailed video interview below.
