Famous Mzansi DJ and producer Soa Mattrix has cleared DJ Maphorisa of all gatekeeping allegations after revealing he introduced him to a lot of people including promoters.
DJ Maphorisa does not have it easy with the critics. The star has been on everyone’s lips this year for many reasons. Fans believe he’s fighting with his bestie and music partner Kabza De Small. While it seems unlikely, fans think the vibe between them is dead.
Porry has also been accused of being a gatekeeper in the music industry. The star did not try to exonerate himself. He made it worse when he shared a tweet stating that he owns the rights to any songs recorded at his studio.
In a chat with TimesLIVE, Soa Mattrix cleared Porry of the gatekeeping accusations. He shared that Maphorisa introduced him to many people who began booking him and also taught him the power of collaborations.
“He called me to talk before we worked on music. He introduced me to a lot of people, a lot of promoters and I started getting bookings. What I’ve learnt from him is the power of collaboration. I wasn’t a person who did a lot of collaborations but he made me understand you learn a lot. And the business side of things as well.”
