Sol Phenduka Starts Heated Debate For Saying There Are No Shacks In Limpopo

Kaya FM host Sol Phenduka incited a heated debate on Twitter by saying that there are no shacks in the Limpopo province and urging others to learn from them.

Podcast host and Kaya FM star Sol Phenduka has come under fire for a now-deleted tweet. The Mzansi radio host tweeted that the Limpopo province has little or no shacks, unlike other provinces. He asked what could be done for others to learn from Limpopo.

His tweet sparked a heated debate, with many slamming commenting that people from Limpopo are the ones building shacks in other provinces like Gauteng for work purposes. According to them, Limpopo people leave their province and go to other ones, where they develop shacks and then erect better buildings in theirs.

@Mario_Molapo wrote, “Come on SOL!! That is because people from Limpopo are the ones building shacks in and around Gauteng and other areas. ALEXANDRA is 70% Limpopo to be precise. You were very lazy to think this time.”

@tefumasoga “I grew up in Limpopo. They belittle a shack to such a point that a person would rather settle for a two room than erect a shack. I think it’s because of society shaming it.”

@Lutendo_percy “Many people are trying so hard to say bad things about Limpopo…fact remains that Limpopo people own houses and it costs a lot of money to build a house..stop saying bad things and learn from them.”
