Somizi Mhlongo has made peace with his baby mama Palesa Madisakwane with whom he has a 26-year-old daughter Bahumi.
She wants to bear her father’s, Mhlongo. But Palesa and her family are opposed to it, insisting that the Idols SA judge would have to pay first before that would happen. She felt like he was disrespecting her womb.
Anyway, Somizi had agreed to settle and let his daughter change her name. he noted that the lack of name change has been blocking his daughter’s blessings. In other words, because Bahumi bears Madisakwane as her surname, not many know that she’s Somizi’s daughter.
But if she should change her name to Bahumi Mhlongo, many doors will automatically open to her when people realise she’s the daughter of a famous and much-loved media personality.
The issue of Bahumi’s name change was a subject of discussion during the latest episode of the reality show, Living The DreamwithSomizi.
Somizi wants Palesa to choose a date, and he’d show up to pay damages. He also suggested a ceremony to formalize everything so his daughter could change her name. He thanked her for her womb.
It’ll be interesting to see when they will formalise the name change.
