Sophie Ndaba’s Ex-Husband Max Lichaba Ditching Restaurant Business For Pastoring

Sophie Ndaba’s ex-husband Max Lichaba has gotten a new calling and would be ditching his restaurant business for the pulpit. Yeah, Max. who was previously MD of Kwa Lichaba Lounge, recently announced that he would be ditching that to become a pastor.

He isn’t exactly closing down shop, though. Reports indicate that he would be leaving the running of the business to the Licaba family while he focuses on his pastoral service at the Nation Hope Ministries in East Rand, Johannesburg.

The news of his switching from the restaurant business to pastoring ignited South Africans in no small way. Many congratulated him for making the switch because now, according to them, he will be “making more money. After all, people “pay every day” in churches.

According to reports, Lichaba became aware of his calling at the age of 12 and was ordained a decade later. And his decision to quit the business to face his pastoral calling, according to him, was in fulfilment of the scriptures which stated that one cannot serve two masters.

Well, he has made his choice. How he handles his pastoral calling is what South Africans are keen to see. Perhaps the coming days will have answers to that.
