South Africans had risen to the defence of Idols SA 2022 winner Thapelo Molomo after an X user called him for selling atchaar and eggs at the taxi rank.
The sight of the reality show star, who reportedly won R10 million last year, selling those at the park was a big shock to the person who recorded him and a disappointment besides.
X account Xe News shared snaps of Thapelo Molomo on the day’s hustle while also pointing to the shock of seeing him trading despite the stupendous sum he won just a year ago. South Africans who saw the post rose to Thapelo’s defence, wondering what the X user found wrong in his action.

For most, what he does with his spare time shouldn’t be anyone’s business so long as he is not into anything illegal. Some wondered why Thapelo should be outed in the first place when he was engaged in a legitimate venture, which he combines with his duties as a policeman.
By the way, this isn’t even the first time Thapelo Molomo has been outed for selling eggs. It had happened months back, with similar reactions of shock to see him selling eggs after winning millions. Some claimed he was broke at the time, but he denied it.
