Spotify has named Makhadzi the most streamed female artist in South Africa.
We must say that Makhadzi has done well for herself. A few years back, her efforts were not even recognized by the SAMAs, but now, the queen is closing out the Awards show and being crowned the most streamed female artist in the country.
Makhadzi took to her Instagram page to react to being named Spotify’s most streamed SA female artist. She wrote,
“NO1 SOUTH AFRICAN MOST STREAMED ARTIST OF THE YEAR IS THE ONE AND ONLY MAKHADZI. 23M streams. I am speechless 😭😭😭 it was not easy to make it in the middle of amapiano BUT WITH GOD I MADE IT KA SKOMPO .. #limpopoway . @spotifyafrica,”
She also showed love to her fans,
“Thank you for making me to close the year with this happiness. Numbers don’t lie . I work hard I deserve it. . This is a definition of hard work and being real to yourself. More love for you.”
Fans celebrated the “Ghanama” star for all the work she put in this year. @rhendy_smallz noted, “Makhadzi self is carrying the whole Limpopo on her shoulders, must be tiring Queen!! Well done !! vhadoto tama vhori dowela.” Congrats to her.
