Star-studded Line-up To Perform At The Iconic Johnny Clegg Once-off Concert

Various artiste are set to pay their tribute to the Legend Johnny Clegg at a one off Concert.

Johnny Clegg was one of the legendary super talented singers in South Africa. He came into the music scene and formed the first mixed group (with a black and white man) during the apartheid period. He is well known for songs like “Dela”, “Scatterings of Africa”,”King of Time” among others. The news of his death around July 2019 took his fans by surprise and left the Country in mourning.

The One-off concerts will be featuring fellow musicians that will celebrate his life and music career. The artistes included in the line up are Prime Circle, Karen Zoid, Black Coffee, JJust Jinjer,Soweto Gospel Choir, Hotstix Mabuse, Francois Van Coke, Cito from Wonderboom, Jesse Clegg, Zolani Mahola,Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Majozi, Young Mbazo, Kurt Darren and others.

The event will be holding on the 25th of April 2020. Full details below:

EVENT INFORMATION:

Date: Saturday, 25 April

Venue: Emmarentia Botanical Gardens (entrance on Thomas Bowler Street).

Times: Gates open at 10:00 with performances commencing at 11:00 – 18:00.

The money will be raised at the event for the Click Foundation, supporting ‘The Friends of Johnny Clegg’ charity which was established with Johnny in December 2018.

Official, secure parking from 09:00 will be available at Roosevelt High School and can be purchased for R25 per vehicle via Computicket. Access is via the entry gate on c/o Thomas Bowler Street and 5th Avenue.
