Celebrated lyricist Stogie T has joined Def Jam Recordings Africa and he’s more than pleased with this milestone in his career.

The details of the signing have not been released but the “Empire of Sheep” maestro confirmed in a post to Instagram that he’s indeed with Def Jam.

In the clip he shared, which was originally posted by Def Jam, the songster was described as the one and only Stogie T. The brand had also expressed its excitement to have him on board. With his signing, Stogie T Joins several other South African musicians who are already members of the Def Jam family. These artistes include Nasty C, Cassper Nyovest, Boity and Lucasraps. Of all the South African artistes signed to Def Jam, Nasty C’s deal appeals particularly interesting in that he’d relocated to Atlanta in the United States as part of the deal.

By the way, Stogie T recently released a new song titled “Mama Day,” which he’s currently promoting with an image of his mother puffing from an expensive cigar.
