T.I announces plans to battle Jay-Z after 50 Cent ignored his Verzuz battle request.
The Verzuz battle has turned out to be the most rewarding Live show right now. Who wouldn’t want a boost in song sales and streams, and followers too? But, it’s more about the fun of battling music catalogues than it is about song sales.
Hip-Hop star, T.I previously challenged 50 Cent to a Verzuz battle on his birthday but was utterly ignored by him. Now, he’s got his sights set on an even bigger rapper. The “Live Your Life” hit maker has now revealed that Jay was his original choice.
We know what you’re thinking, Jay’s way bigger. With strings of hits to his name, we all know T.I doesn’t stand a chance. However, FreshHipHopMag reports that Tip has admitted that it is a farfetched idea. But he’s willing to do it anyway. About the challenge, he said,
“Who can see [Jay Z] sitting down to do a battle? If I’m a billionaire, I’m not finna do that, either, but me and 50 ain’t that far off.”
“As far as confidence, as far as our bankrolls go, we kinda neck-and-neck, whatever he want to [admit] it or not. And another thing, it’s personality. I need somebody who has a personality that won’t be intimidated by my bravado.” he said about Fif.
Hopefully, he doesn’t get ignored like DMX did.
