“Cruel Summer” star Taylor Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce may or may not be getting engaged this year.
A recent report by PageSix claimed that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce might be getting engaged later this year, in Summer. According to a source, Kelce did not pop the question during winter last year because “they don’t want it to seem like it’s rushed insanity.”
The source also claims Kelce will not propose this Valentine’s for the same reason. However, the source claims they discussed it and created a plan, “they will get engaged on their one-year anniversary in July.”
According to an article by Perez Hilton, a source refuted the reports in a statement to Us Weekly on Friday.
“Travis and Taylor have no plans on getting engaged this summer. Things between them are going amazing, but they haven’t even been together for a year yet and still have so much to learn about each other,” said the source.
Perez writes that the source said that while the couple knows, ” ‘a lot of their loved ones’ would be happy to see the athlete get down on one knee and propose – ‘and some may even believe’ it will happen soon. But Taylor and Travis are not planning to take that step ‘anytime soon.’ “
