South African media personality Sizwe Dhlomo has seemingly shaded his compatriot and actress Simphiwe “Simz” Ngema for deleting the statement she made about vising Thabo Bester in prison.
For a while now, South Africans had been curious about the mystery woman who had visited the convicted felon in prison a day before he escaped, leaving a body replacement in his cell and setting the place on fire. It was initially claimed that Mamkhize was the said woman, but she denied that in a statement.
Then in a move that ignited curiosity and led to instant backlash, Simphiwe Ngema had released a statement on Instagram in which she admitted that she was the one who visited Bester in prison, but that she merely went to see him to get the money she was owed.
That claim elicited mixed reactions from South Africans, celebs and ordinary folks alike. For the writer Jackie Phamotse, it implied that she was aware that Bester was a criminal but failed to inform the police authorities.
