The 10th Annual SA Hip Hop Awards Submissions Open Date Announced

For hip hop artistes in South Africa, it is time to gear up to add more plaques to their table, following the announcement of nominations for the South African Hip Hop Awards (SAHHA).

It’s been ten years since the award was launched. And from the look of things, the award has grown in strength since, with many winners.

In a recent post to social media, the SAHHA had spelled out the rules for submissions this year.

To qualify, the works, be it a video, song, album, or mixtape must have been released in South Africa between September 15, 2020, to September 15, 2021.

The SAHHA is open to South Africans or those who have a South African work permit. Also, their works must have been produced and released in South Africa.

According to award organizers, submissions are via Dropbox, and only one correctly labeled zip file will be accepted per entry.

The submission for the award opened today and will officially close on 15 October this year.

It remains to be seen who and who will be nominated and the artistes who’ll eventually take home the awards.

South Africa is expectant and so are we. You may want to stay tuned for the list of nominees and eventual winners.
