‘The Masked Singer South Africa’ Is Returning For Season Two

“The Masked Singer South Africa” is set to return to the screens for a second season.

Mzansi is ready for good entertainment as “The Masked Singer South Africa” returns for season two in April—the first season for everything and Mzansi’s biggest stars delivered on stage.

Comedian Mpho Popps is set to return as the host of the show, with J’Something, Somizi Mhlongo, Skhumba Hlophe, and DJ Sithelo Shozi returning as judges.

According to radio personality and Rose and Oaks Media’s co-owner, Anele Mdoda, the clues are going to be “much harder” this time. She said,

“In fact, everything is bigger, better, and more spectacular this season. South Africa is going to be blown away by the dazzling costumes, themed episodes, energetic performances of popular songs, and calibre of personalities bringing their A-game to win the coveted Golden Mask trophy.”

“We’re talking mega-megastars – from world-famous sports figures – maybe even a World Cup winner – to globally recognizable faces.”

IOL writes that some of the new costumes include “a snazzy Giraffe with some bling, a treacherous Tortoise and a glittering figure resembling a Gold nugget.”

Jan du Plessis, president of Primedia Studios, the production company that co-produces the show, stated, “The beauty of ‘The Masked Singer Singer South Africa’ is that the entire country can play along in guessing the true identity of these fantastic, costumed characters.”

“It’s a wonderful family show and great fun to see a different side of Mzansi’s biggest household names.”

Season two will premiere on Saturday, April 6, at 6.30 pm, with new episodes every Saturday after that.
