The Rockets’ Jerry Watt Has Died At 69

The Rockets’ lead singer Jerry Watt has died at the age of 69.

According to reports, Jerry Watt, frontman of the band, The Rockets, has passed on following a battle with cancer. Watt is reported to have died on Thursday evening, surrounded by his family.

TygerBurger had reported that the late singer had a cancerous tumor removed from his abdomen. The cancer returned and had spread. In a statement posted by his family on social media, Jerry “fought a brave fight right to the end.” “His legacy will live on forever through his music. We will miss him dearly… As Jerry always said, ‘let the music play.'”

The statement also revealed that the late singer had signed off on a planned The Rockets farewell concert which is scheduled to happen on Sunday, 12 February, at the GrandWest Casino. Watt had played with The Rockets band for 52 years. May his soul rest in peace.
