The latest episode of the reality television show Finding Bongani Fassie, which details the life and experience of the late pop icon Brenda Fassie’s only son, has got Mzansi fuming after Buhle Fassie, Bongani’s wife, revealed on national TV that she slaps him.
Some of those who watched the episode were miffed by her action towards her man. Taking to social media, some of them had state that she was promoting gender based violence on national television.
Reacting to the claim that she is promoting gender based violence, Buhle made it clear that she doesn’t care what the public thinks about her action, after all she and Bongani are still together after 14 years and apparently still in love.
By the way, South Africa has a high rate of gender based violence, also called, simply, GBV. The stats out there indicate, however, that women are mostly the victims of GBV. And, for the most part, they don’t get justice.
