The World Remember Tupac 24 Years After Fatal Shooting

About 24 years after he was shot, American rapper 2Pac is being remembered around the world. Known around the world as Tupac – or 2Pac – Lesane Parish Crooks was the songster who charmed the world over two decades ago with his rapping gift.

The “Hit Em Up” rapper was famous as much for his music as for his rivalry with the Notorious Big, another rap sensation at the time. So when Tupac was shot on 7 September 1996 and eventually died, many around the world wept. Some have even refused to get over his death.

It’s 24 years this month, and much has been written and said about the man who redefined gangster rap and who newbie rappers like Tekashi 6ix9ine are proud and loud to associate with. There’s even been a documentary in Tupac’s honour.

To this day, there are many who refuse to believe the rapper, who has been described – and rightly so – as one of the greatest of all time, is dead. Maybe he just might pop in the orbit of these believers and fulfill their fantasies of life. Who knows?
