Mzansi football star Thembinkosi Lorch has warned Orlando Pirates fans ahead of their coming match with Mamelodi Sundowns, his new club.
Football fans are talking about Thembinkosi Lorch’s post warning Orlando Pirates fans. The post raised so much backlash that he was forced to delete it. However, it has since been reposted by several media outlets.
Lorch, who was previously signed to Orlando Pirates before he moved to the DStv Premier League Champions Mamelodi Sundowns, is set fo face his former club. He wrote on his Instagram, “It’s okay. Let them try to destroy me. But the 17th is around the corner.”
The Sundowns are set to host the Pirates at Loftus Versfield Stadium on the 17th. Fans were enraged by the post and called him out on social media. A fan wrote, “He should have just kept quiet because his supporters will boo him, and it won’t be nice.” Another football fan wrote, “Kanti, he talks too much?”
Lorch has since not reacted to the backlash. An insider in the Bucs explained his exit from his former club, saying,
“Lorch had two options, to sign for Sundowns or maybe go with Pitso Mosimane to the Middle East – even previously, he was keen to join Mosimane at one of his previous clubs.”
