The Showmax flick The Wife continues to snap attention with the introduction of a new season and cast members.
Naledi is one of the latest addition to the cast. A doctor who fell in love with one of the Zulu brothers (Qhawe (Kwenzokuhle Ngcobo)), she’s already charming viewers with how seamlessly she interprets her roles that viewers are nodding approval already.
Some viewers think she and Qhawe are so natural in interpreting their roles and have given them more reasons to continue to follow the series.
Interestingly, at the outset, when Gaisang Noge was introduced as the person to play the Naledi character, some viewers had objected because, according to them, the Naledi character, as described from the book the series was adapted from, was plump — or plus size, of you please.
Where viewers applaud Qhawe and Naledi’s relationship, they’re curious why Zandile (played by Khanyi Mbau) wouldn’t ask Mandisa about the money she burnt. Letting Mandisa go free isn’t something most viewers agree with. You can check out some of the comments below.
The Wife will be discontinued briefly. But now that it is still streaming on Showmax, fans are lapping up each episode as it drops. Not bad.
