“They Don’t See Hip Hop As A Culture” – A-Reece

The Boy Doing Things A-Reece is unimpressed with the way most musicians take South African hip-hop – as a commodity and not as a culture.

He made this known in a tweet two days ago. His statement, expectedly, provoked a debate among his fans. While some thought there was some truth to his statement, others were of the view people are entitled to take the genre the way they deem fit.

A-Reece doesn’t talk much on social media, but when he speaks, he usually gains the attention of not just his fans but South Africa’s music universe. You can check out his tweet below.

A-Reece has been on a hot collaborative run recently. After wooing fans with “Tuff Luck,” which some critics considered a Priddy Ugly Shade, they had linked up again for another number, dubbed “ridiculouS.”

It remains to be seen where their collaborative fever would take them next. And oh, fans haven’t forgotten, nor have they stopped asking A-Reece for a “Paradise 2.”

By the way, just recently, A-Reece’s fans had made a strong case for him to be a guest on American rapper Meek Mill’s album which is expected in October. It’s debatable if he would be the man for Meek Mill next month. We wait.
