South African disc jockey and producer DJ Maphorisa has reportedly refused to take anger management classes as suggested by South Africa’s National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) which is trying to prosecute him for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Thuli Phongolo.
Back in Mayn, Thuli had filed an assault case against the amapiano producer, claiming in her submission that the songster raised his hands on her after a show. Butt then, she withdrew the case soon after and she and POhori released a joint statement.
Despite the withdrawal, the NPA felt there were sufficient grounds to pursue the case, and it has been doing just that, to the chagrin of DJ Maphorisa, who has since (allegedly) taken measures to recover all he gifted Thuli while they were dating, including a car.
DJ Maphorisa is adamant that he is innocent of the charge against him, so despite the NPA suggesting he goes for anger management training, he is adamant that he wants the case settled in court, as he wants to prove his innocence before the world.
His lawyers had reportedly accepted the NPA’s suggestion that he goes for anger management, and a furious DJ Maphorisa had reportedly fired them. So, yea, the case drags on.
