Thuli Phongolo Returns to the Studio, Teases New Single and Tells Eager Fans to Wait: “Barely a Full Verse”

South African actress and DJ, Thuli Phongolo, is making waves in the music industry. The former Generations: The Legacy star, who played the role of the rebellious and tech-savvy teenager Namhla, has shifted her focus to her musical aspirations.

Phongolo, who first broke into television as a presenter on e.TV’s Craze, has been making a name for herself as one of the leading “DJing baddies.” Despite her skills being called into question at times, it has not deterred her from pursuing her dreams.

Recently, she took to her Instagram stories to share that she is planning on venturing into producing her own music. She shared a teaser of the single she is working on, which she is collaborating with producer-composer Given Zulu.

Interestingly, at first glance, Given could be confused with the man Thuli is believed to be dating, Sonnyboy “Maphorisa” Sekowe, one-half of the musical duo Scorpion Kings. The couple recently faced an “abuse” hurdle, which they resolved privately through their respective management and legal teams.

Phongolo has since withdrawn the charges laid against Sekowe, and both parties have asked people to refrain from making any more defamatory statements regarding the incident. They have also reserved their rights to individually pursue legal action against people making defamatory and/or false statements in relation to this matter.

Despite the recent drama, social media users are excited about Phongolo’s new musical venture. Some have anticipated this move from Thuli, while others are shocked by it. Regardless, it’s clear that Phongolo is determined to make her mark in the music industry.

As she continues to navigate her new path, fans and followers are eagerly waiting to see what the talented actress and DJ will bring to the music scene. With her determination and passion, there’s no doubt that Phongolo will continue to rise and shine in her new venture.
