Tiffany Haddish Rubbishes Child Sexual Abuse Allegations

Comedians Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears have both been sued by two siblings  (Joe Doe and Jane Doe), who claimed they were both abused by the duo when they were both 14 and 7, respectively.

In the lawsuit filed days ago, the siblings claimed they were coerced into participating in explicit skits and have been “traumatized for life” as a result. In the lawsuit, both comedians stand charged for emotional distress, wilful misconduct, sexual violence, sexual harassment, and sexual abuse of a minor.

However, reacting to the claim, Haddish’s lawyer, Andrew Brettler, denied the allegations against his client, describing them as entirely without merit. He went ahead to point out that the mother of the plaintiff has been trying to make those bogus claims for several years now.

He also noted that other attorneys that had taken up the plaintiff’s case ultimately dropped it for lack of merit.

Interestingly, besides the charge of abuse, Haddish also stands charged for violation of fiduciary duty and constructive fraud. The case is of particular interest given Haddish’s standing in comedy circles.

It remains to be seen what California’s Superior Court for Los Angeles County will decide ultimately. You’re welcome to follow us and stay tuned for updates.
