Tinashe gets sued for Copyright Infringement by a music producer

Tinashe sued by a music producer for Copyright Infringement on her song “Save Room For Us”.

R&B singer, Tinashe joins the list of artists sued for Copyright Infringement. It seems that each passing day one new artist gets dragged to court for that.

According to The Blast, a music producer, William Kissas a.k.a Will K claims Tinashe stole his music for her song “Save Room For Us”. He has now filed a lawsuit against the singer and her collaborator, Mackenzie Johnson a.k.a MakJ.

He alleges that he was in communication with MakJ back in February, 2019 about recording together with hopes of collaborating with Tinashe someday. According to him, he sent his music via dropbox to Mak for consideration and they allegedly agreed that if Tinashe agreed, he’d be paid and also get production credit.

He says that didn’t happen, instead he saw his music was used without his knowledge for “Save Room For Us”. When attempts to contact MakJ proved futile, he decided to sue. He has accused them of Copyright Infringement and fraudulent misrepresentation.

With unspecified damages, he’s hoping the court stops the singers from selling the song, and asking for all the profits from it. He also wants them to pay his attorney fees.
