Tommy Lee Sparta Hospitalized Following Brutal Encounter Prison Officials
Rapper Tommy Lee Sparta (Leroy Russell Junior) was reportedly rushed to the hospital following an altercation with prison officials.
The dancehall ace was said to have been knocked down during an altercation with officials of the Correctional Services (DCS) department and was rushed to the KPH in Kingston.
The songster is currently serving a three-year jail term, after pleading guilty to illegal possession of a firearm. A year ago, he had also been sentenced for illegal possession of ammunition.
The cause of the altercation of the prison official has not been revealed at the time of writing, and neither has the prison official released an official statement regarding the conflict, but his injuries were said to be serious enough for him to have been rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Heavy security followed him to the hospital, according to reports.
Although jailed for illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, Tommy Lee Sparta has not been neglecting the music. He releases music regularly. Just last week, he had treated his fans to “Transition” mixtape.
It cannot be determined how long his injuries will keep him in the hospital, but fans are optimistic he will recover soon enough to continue sharing the music.
