Tori Spelling’s Brother Randy Shares Why He Left Hollywood: Says It Was ‘Going To Kill Me’

Tori Spelling reveals the major reason why he left Hollywood and says “It was going to kill me”.

Randy Spelling, son of legendary producer, Aaron Spelling and brother to Tori Spelling has finally revealed why he left Hollywood. In a recent interview with Page6ix, the former TV star opened up about the pressure he felt to find his way in the industry because of his father’s legacy.

Aaron Spelling had a very successful career. He produced several hit TV shows and movies including Beverley Hills 90210, Love Boat, and more. Randy had a recurring role in 90210 while his sister starred in Charlie’s Angels and Dynasty.

He revealed that at the time, he thought he had to be something big. He believed, at the time that it meant he had to be a movie star or a big time producer. According to him, “I realized I had to forge my own path because if I don’t it’s going to kill me”.

Randy says he finally left Hollywood after a number of acting roles on Television, moved to Oregon and became a life coach.

He also revealed that the decision to help others find their own path came when he entered Rehab after his father’s death in 2006. He said

“I went to rehab and after I thought, ‘Gosh, I have this second chance, who do I want to be? What makes me happy? What am I here for?’ And all these existential questions that I really set out on a path to answer,”
