Touchline Celebrates The Late Pro’s Birthday With A Video Titled “The Dreamer”

Yesterday 22 June was the birthday of Motswako rapper Linda Mkhize, professionally known as PRO (ProKid). The hip hop veteran had died in 2018, alleged due to bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract. He was aged 37.

The death shocked many back then and even discouraged the singer Gigi Lamayne, who considered him her mentor.

PRO apparently had a great influence on the music scene. Thus his contemporaries – and indeed other musicians – have been honouring since memory since 2018. He would have been 29 yesterday 22 June.

Well. Like in years past, fellow musos remembered him the way they saw fit. The musician Touchline, who had looked up to PRO up to the time of his death in 2018, released a freestyle titled “The Dreamer” to honour him. The freestyle bears a message of hope and the vitality of ambition and drive. You should love it.

The freestyle follows the release of “Free Mode” andTouchline’s feature appearance on Kmore’s “Ngiyekeleni (Remix)” alongside Bigstar johnson, Blaklez, N’veigh and Zaddy Swag.

By the way, another South African artiste, Proverb, had also released “The Kasi Rap Bible” in honour of PRO.

We invite you to check out the freestyle below and join the conversation by dropping your thoughts in the comment section.
