Traci Braxton Has Died At Age 50

Traci Braxton has died at age 50 following a battle with Cancer.

American singer and reality show star, Traci Braxton has passed on following a battle with Cancer. The news was broken by her sister, award-winning singer and songwriter, Toni Braxton on Instagram. She shared that Traci died on Saturday morning, March 12 “as the snow was falling”.

She also stated that Traci was a lot of things including a “a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, grandmother and a respected performer”. She called for the public to respect their family’s privacy. According to reports, Traci’s mother, her sisters and her friends were by her side before she passed.

In a statement to TMZ, Traci’s husband, Kevin Surratt said “We have come to a time where we must inform the public that after a year of privately undergoing a series of treatment for Esophageal cancer our beloved Traci Braxton has gone on to glory.”

While she was alive, the Braxton sister was featured on the reality show, Braxton Family Values. As an actress, she was best known for the films “Sinners Wanted”, “Chaaw”, and “There’s A Stranger In My House”. Tracy was also known for Hot 100 charting hit “Last Call” (#16).
