The bus, carrying party members back from the ANC’s manifesto launch in Durban, met with a tragic accident near Paulpietersburg in the early hours of Sunday. The supporters were returning to Mpumalanga after attending the highly anticipated event at Moses Mabhida Stadium, where the ANC outlined its vision for the future. The accident occurred on the R33 route, about 5km from Paulpietersburg, when the bus lost control and overturned. Emergency services rushed to the scene, where they confirmed the death of nine individuals, with ten others left in critical condition.
