For fans of celebrated boxer Mike Tyson, things are about to get exciting as Hulu presents the tailer about the life of the champ, dubbed Mike.
Trevante Rhodes will play the role of Mike Tyson, while Laura Harrier will pop in as ex-wife Robin Givins. Don King, a part of Tyson’s boxing career, will be a part of the series as well, played by Russell Hornsby.
About the imminent series, Hulu had noted it was an unauthorised and exploratory look into the life of the champ.
That’s probably true as the trailer gives fans glimpses into the turbulence of the boxer’s life, from when he was a nobody, through fame, Lo e, rejection, and so much more.
Since it is unauthorised, there are likely aspects of Mike Tyson’s life that didn’t make the court. In fact, back in 2021, when the series was initially announced, Mike Tyson had called for a boycott of Hulu. The tweet has since been deleted.
Amity was likely restored later when Mike noted that he looked forward to collaborating with Martin Scorsese and others.
The series will start streaming on Hulu on August 25.
In the meantime, fans of the boxing ace are pretty excited about what’s on the way.
