Trevor Noah’s Mother Patricia Rubbishes Claims She Owes SARS R50 Million

Is Trevor Noah’s mother owing the South African Revenue Service (SARS) R50 million? That is one question that has been flying around for a while. And now she has addressed it, hopefully putting it to rest.

R50 million is a lot of money by South African standards, so it is understandable why there is great interest in whether she owes the sum to the taxman or not.

Patricia Noah reportedly owns several businesses and is owing the SARS, which has threatened to auction off her properties if she failed to respond to its letter of demand within ten days. This is the second time she has been served a letter of demand over the alleged debt.

Previously, per the City Press, She had been served a letter of demand over un[aid taxes of R24.2 million. Along the line, about seven months later, she was handed another letter of demand for another 26.9 million, making a total of over R50 million.

Reacting to the claims of R50 million debt against her, she noted that the case was presented in court and she emerged victorious there. In other words, what the SARS claimed is not exactly the truth. How would the SARS react? Time will tell.
