South African rapper, Tshego recently released his “No Ties” remix with King Monada and MFR Souls but before then, he had released the original song, a song that has now reached Gold status according to sale records.
The song was released last year after Tshego’s exit from FamilyTree Records. It was his first offering as he sought to drop his album and it was a good one.
Shortly after the release of the song, he would go on to drop his Pink Panther album that was well received and had a few songs that were loved by fans but “No Ties” was by far the standout track on the project especially coming when it did.
He took to Twitter to announce that the song had reached platinum status even as he thanked fans for helping him achieve that feat.
His tweet on that was short and straight to the point: “Thank you. We GOLD!”

There was a little snag though, somehow he forgot to acknowledge his collaborator “King Monada” on the song, leading to a number of fans calling him out for it. Some did well to remind him that the only reason they listened was because of King Monada.
It will be interesting to see how he responds to this and if he will give credit to King Monada for it and apologize for the slight.
