Tv Host, Trevor Noah sues NYC hospital and orthopedic surgeon

The Daily Show host, Trevor Noah alleges negligence and failures in a recent lawsuit against NYC Hospital for Special Surgeries and orthopedic surgeon.

Mzansi star, and The Daily Show host, Trevor Noah has sued New York-based Hospital for Special Surgery alleging that orthopedic surgeon, Riley Williams III botched an undisclosed surgery which happened sometime last year.

NBC New York reports that the suit was filed in Manhattan where the hospital is located. It also states that “it is in regards to care Noah received at various times during ‘Aug. 25, 2020 through approximately Dec. 17, 2020.'” According to the court documents, Noah alleges that Williams III treated him “for various medical conditions and other related treatment, including surgery which was performed on November 23, 2020,”

According to a statement shared by the Hospital, “Noah’s attorney” has been sent “a detailed rebuttal to the claims” which they have labelled as “meritless”.

In other news, the South African star, and host of The Daily Show was previously announced by The Recording Academy and CBS to return as host of the 64th Annual Grammy Awards in January 2022. Noah had hosted the socially-distanced show earlier this year and gained positive feedback for it. It will be his second consecutive year hosting the awards show.
