She has just been reported dead after a three-year battle with soft tissue sarcoma, She passed away on Tuesday] at Vincent Pallotti Hospital in Cape Town.
Her family confirmed her passing in a statement which reads in part: “It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Fatima Sydow, renowned culinary artist and beloved personality, who left an indelible mark on the culinary world.” Indeed she had a great impact on the culinary world back home
It has been raining condolences from across South Africa since the news of her death broke online, with some tweeps pointing out that South Africa’s culinary universe would miss her contributions and effortless smile.
