The Met Gala might be over, but it appears that the drama surrounding the singer Tyla’s appearance there isn’t over just yet.
Lady Du has taken a swipe at Tyla, provoking condemnations from the “Water” hitmaker’s fans.
The drama all started after Tyla made her Met Gala debut rocking a strapless gown that accentuated her figure. Lady, apparently unimpressed by the “foreign” outfit she wore, made a suggestion, which seemingly annoyed some of Tyla’s fans.
In her post, Lady Du claimed that Tyla would have made a greater impact at the Met Gala had she rocked an African print, say, a design by MaXhoma, one of the top local designers back home.
Some X users thought Lady Du made an important point and some thought it wasn’t in her place to tell the Grammy-sinning singer what to wear to that occasion. You can check out the post below.

At the time of writing, Tyla had said nothing about Lady Du’s comment about her Met Gala outfit. It is unclear if she would say anything about that.
By the way, Tyla had previously faced criticisms from Ntsiki Mazwai, also following her Met Gala appearance, but it had nothing to do with her outfit.
